Some modchips allow for installation by directly soldering the modchip's contacts to the console's circuit ("quicksolder"), by the precise positioning of electrical contacts ("solderless"), or, in rare cases, by plugging them into a system's internal or external connector. Modchips typically require some degree of technical skill to install since they must be connected to a console's circuitry, most commonly by soldering wires to select traces or chip legs on a system's circuit board. Although there are modchips that can be reprogrammed for different purposes, most modchips are designed to work within only one console system or even only one specific hardware version. Most modchips consist of one or more integrated circuits ( microcontrollers, FPGAs, or CPLDs), often complemented with discrete parts, usually packaged on a small PCB to fit within the console system it is designed for. They achieve this by either exploiting existing interfaces in an unintended or undocumented manner, or by actively manipulating the system's internal communication, sometimes to the point of re-routing it to substitute parts provided by the modchip. Modchips operate by replacing or overriding a system's protection hardware or software. The network adapter will probably be a fake GAMESTAR adapter with no network capabilities. I am seriously considering getting a FAT PS2 as the HDD they'll install in it will be a sata and not IDE which will make it easier for me to load my backups onto the HDD. Unfortunately for people like me in India there are no other options apart from online sellers like these guys, we would be lost (especially guys like me living in small towns ) without them and they also charge quite a lot of money for a PS2 (140 dollars for a FAT 5000x with internal HDD) These guys also sell a lot of other premodded stuff like multiman ps3's, rgh xbox 360's, PS2 fat with internal HDD etc I will ask them what modchip is installed but they probably have a whole bunch of modded consoles sitting around and they'll just send me one. The black box is branded as RASILA ( which means "juicy" in hindi) the box serves as a power supply adapter and a hdd enclosure for the ps2 slim the on/off switch at the front is for the fan which cools the hdd there is another variant branded as " God of War" (Yes they come in their own boxes) and yes I know there are pirated games in there but there are no other options.
